RIT is a dynamically developing company with steady year-by-year sales increases by many tens of per cents. The growing number of purchase orders from customers, increase in the number of company employees, enlargement of product range and other factors are endangering the traditional competitive edge of FERRIT – flexibility in responses to customer demands – which has been maintained by the company for many years. To secure the customer service level against any related threats in future FERRIT management chose to implement a project focused on modernization of the planning process and information system which will be supplemented with a JDA Factory Planner advanced planning tool.
icting his expectations from the project, Ing. Petr Kovář, a co-owner and executive of the company, says: “The prime precondition set by me for embarking on the project was getting a partner which will be able to manage the project professionally, define priorities, allocate and follow up tasks and will become a genuine adviser putting forward alternatives of the steps to be taken and describing their consequences instead of asking us how do we want to address the different problems. I believe we succeeded in getting such a partner. The progress of the project attests to this; the quality of management by LOGIS considerably surpasses all IT projects executed at our company up to now.”
can guarantee on behalf of the contractor that our experience in production planning accumulated in dozens of advanced planning projects carried out in single-part or small-batch custom machinery manufacture environments both in our country and abroad will be made use of to the maximum extent possible. We will also do our best to support the improvement of data quality in the information system but majority of the work in this field will have to be done by the customer’s personnel. I believe our joint efforts will enable us to attain the targets laid down, namely the improvement of operational efficiency and support of flexibility in responses to customer demands”, notes Ing. Tomáš Vojtík, Executive Director of LOGIS.
project, all outcomes of which will be put into routine operation in early 2014, is co-financed from Potential Programme fund under EU Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations.
